NK Stockholm - Get the look

On a recent trip to Stockholm, I visited the NK department store, a Scandinavian haven for luxury. I found myself more taken with the store design and merchandising, than the products themselves. The store design stayed with a minimal style but added trending pops of rust and terra cotta, accents of terrazzo, statement lighting, and chunky furniture. See my photos below, and then I”ll show how you can achieve the style at home.

Note the clever use of the arching tubular brass light fixture to liven up traditionally sterile lay-in ceiling panels. I love the handbag display table with its white oak wood and triple column pedestal design. The benches have a streamlined shape that echoes the arcs in the ceiling fixtures. Some of the mirrors featured have arcs as well.
