Another suite idea...Why not add a ceiling mounted garment rack in the bedroom? It frees up precious square footage in smaller spaces. Brass or leather finish options below...

Place the rack above a multi-tasking, clean-lined storage bench. Don't forget to add the old portrait with fading paint or edges above the bed for a dose of French je ne sais quoi. Hit up your local flea market.

Shades of Grey with copper accents. Mix up wool with velvet. Double up on the wall sconces.

Now for the public spaces below. How about that post-modern dining table mixed with danish modern chairs for your dining room? Note the two tone walls and the placement of wall sconces right at the transition between the white and blue paint color. For the ceiling pendant, choose between new or vintage. See below.

Or, you can get really creative with the dining table design inspiraton. Instead of a dining table with the black and white grid pattern, you can get the look in the bedroom using matching Lack DIY nightstands, or create a console table or bench by placing two side by side. See the Ikea Lack hack below, provided by Pella Hedeby on her blog Stil Inspiration.  Image below courtesy of Pella.

You can find a DIY video from Pella here on the Ikea Sweden website.

And now from a recent visit to the COQ in April 2017, some of my own photos......

If you look closely in the lounge area photo above, there's also a touch of 80's Memphis, courtesy of the Ettore Sottsass Lampe Tahiti, below. Ever think you'd see that again?

Throw a curveball into the design by mixing your decades and shapes. It adds just enough tension to make things interesting!

Here are some other ways to bring Memphis/postmodern style into your space: sculptures, clocks, and side tables. Click on the image below to purchase.

Here's a cinema-style sign as seen in the COQ lobby on my visit. For a final cheeky touch, add a small cinema box to your master bedroom or guestroom with a favorite phrase or a welcome for guests- see below.
